22 Bullseye

22 Bullseye Shooting Event Everyone is welcome! Show up once or each week!
The Bullseye 22 Shooting Event is a .22 caliber pistol tournament. The course of fire is detailed later and is under the close supervision of a range safety officer with all the official range commands.
Participants shoot a course of fire that has three separate stages – Slow-fire, Timed-fire, and Rapid-fire. You can shoot one handed or two handed, however you are most comfortable. Targets are 360 degree turning targets and are computer controlled and timed. The range officer issues commands according to the stage and script.
Stage 1 is Slow Fire. In Slow Fire, the shooter has 3 full minutes to fire 10 shots at 10 yards. Slow fire is difficult because from a free standing position, the shooter must really concentrate to get all of the essential parts of firing a gun accurately in motion. After the 3 minutes expires, all weapons are open and clear and the targets are scored. 100 points available in Stage 1 – Slow Fire.
Stage 2 is Timed Fire. In Timed Fire, the shooter fires 2 strings of 10 shots in 20 seconds at 7 yards. After the first string, the target turns away automatically and after a brief pause to reload, the target presents itself for the 2nd string. After both strings are fired, all weapons are open and clear and the targets are scored. 200 points are available in Stage 2 – Timed Fire.
Stage 3 is Rapid Fire. In Rapid Fire, the shooter fires a course of fire the same as Stage 2 except that the time is reduced from 20 seconds to 5 seconds for each string. Same number of shots in just half the time! After both strings are fired, all weapons are open and clear and the targets are scored. 200 points are available in Stage 3 – Rapid Fire.
It’s exciting and fun. The real competition is with yourself as your scores improve each week. As you can see, the Bullseye 22 League is for everyone, not just “good” shooters. Everyone is congenial and the only objective is to provide a place to have good, safe, shooting fun.
So, bring your favorite 22 pistol, ammo, eye and ear protection and join us for some real shooting fun.
